The Mott Community College twin towers memorial was unveiled Sunday, Sept. 11 in front of the Prahl Center as a tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks. The memorial features a steel girder that was almost bent in half as the twin towers collapsed. It was unveiled by student safety officers David Becker, Lawrence Maclin, and Christine Perry. The ceremony was attended by many first responders, public servants, and MCC faculty and students. “It’s a big honor,” Becker said. “It’s good that it’s here and part of the community now.”
