Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority held the DDR/Karaoke Challenge in Michigan Rooms A & B Thurs., Nov. 10, to raise money for the Robbie Page Memorial Foundation. (From left to right) Alexis Sullivan, sophomore pre-medicine major and Heather Long, sophomore criminal justice major, compete against each other in the game Dance Dance Revolution. “We raise money and it goes to a children’s hospital,” Long said. “It goes towards play therapy for terminally ill children.” The foundation uses the donation to paint rooms, purchase new toys, and build playgrounds. People who participated in the tournament had the opportunity to win a prize as well. Kristen Sills, senior human resources major and president of Tri-Sigma, said that the first place prize was a twenty dollar ga s card and a movie ticket for two to Cinema Hollywood, second place wa s a fifteen dollar gas card and a movie ticket for two to Cinema Hollywood, and third place was a Hungry Howie’s fundraising card, which included coupons for free pizza. Sullivan spoke of another upcoming event that Tri-Sigma does, which is hair feathering. “The money from that goes to our philanthropy [also].”
