“Knights in the Nightmare” is a new game for the Nintendo DS that was supposed to hit Game Stop on June 3, but due to a shipping issue the game did not make it to the stores until June 4. The game, which, came with a free art book and free CD for anyone who reserved a copy of the game, was worth the wait.

The CD was the soundtrack for the game and it has a total of 39 tracks. The art book goes into characters’ details and gives a description of each character’s role. It also includes the bosses in the game. “Knights in the Nightmare” is a really good game.

One of the interesting things about the game is that, unlike most video games where the player has a character that they controlled throughout the game, in this game the player controls the wisp. The wisp is a little spirit that allows the player to take control of any of the knights that are on the board at the time of battle.

One of the objectives in the game is to recruit as many various knights as possible. Certain key items are needed to recruit certain knights, and the items that are needed can be found hidden inside of different breakable objects.

Upon destroying an object, the item will be dropped and can be picked up by sliding the wisp over top of it. If the player wants to try to recruit the knight, the item must be equipped, which his done between turns. In order to win a fight, a row of like-colored kill bars must be lined up with at least three in a row. Most battles require the player to do this within 26 turns.

“Knights in the Nightmare” does not use the conventional turn system that most role-playing games use. Instead, you go into battle and fight for a certain amount time, then the game breaks from the fight so that the player can select the next opponent and organize the items that they are going to take with them. This is what is considered a turn in this game.

The monsters and the knights all attack when they feel like it. The knights have a path that their attack will follow and the monsters have a path that they walk in during the fight.

Unlike the knights, the monsters’ attacks scatter across the entire board. Since the wisp is what controls the knights, it is also what the monsters try to attack. These attacks can be avoided by using the DS stylus to move the wisp in between the blasts launched by the enemy. When an enemy is attacked, they drop crystals that are needed to replenish the wisp’s health.

Another cool twist that “Knights in the Nightmare” offers is the only way to kill an enemy is to hit them with an attack from one of the special weapons that knights use. Each enemy is a certain type and can only be killed by a weapon of the opposite type. For example, a fire type monster can only be killed with an ice type weapon.

The knights also have occupations that limit what type of weapons that they use. For instance, a warrior cannot use the same weapon as an archer or a knight. So, it is very important to make sure to put the knights in a good spot and make sure to have the correct weapons with you as well as the needed key items to make sure the board is cleared with the amount of turns allotted.

The game play for “Knights in the Nightmare” is pretty long and will keep you busy for a while. The storyline is long and a little complicated, but it is cool and deserves to be checked out. Overall, it an interesting game, even though it takes some getting used to.
